The Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) has announced the award recipient of "Positively Print," a print advocacy program designed to promote the power of print in today's media mix. The 2012 awardee, PrintCity's "PRINT! Seen! Lean and Green," was recognized following the EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK Conference on October 6, the eve of GRAPH EXPO 2012, the year's largest graphic communications exhibition and conference in the Americas.

GRAPH EXPO ATTENDANCE RALLIES FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR, GENERATING SUCCESS FOR EXHIBITORS, EXPANDED ATTENDEE NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Reinforcing its position as the industry's largest and most innovative graphic communications tradeshow for the Americas, GRAPH EXPO 2012, overcame economic and industry uncertainty by welcoming increased attendance over the 2011 event. Among the total 21,022 participants, which included exhibitors and attendees, 13,694 actual verified attendee/buyers-up 2% from 2011-came to the show with a high level of purchasing power to examine, compare and purchase the latest technologies.

PRINERGY WINS FIRST-EVER MUST SEE ‘EMS “LEGACY AWARD”

The Prinergy prepress workflow system, developed by Creo and Heidelberg and now a product of Eastman Kodak, has been selected to receive the first-ever MUST SEE ‘EMS “Legacy Award” recognizing a technology that has had a lasting impact on the entire graphic communications industry. It was selected from among all of the winners since the inaugural MUST SEE ‘EMS recognition program in 1999.

The top new technology products in each of the GRAPH EXPO 2012 MUST SEE ‘EMS categories were revealed at the close of the popular annual EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK Conference that precedes the opening of the show each year. These “Best of Category” winners were selected from the pool of winning entries in the MUST SEE ‘EMS competition judged by a panel of industry experts, journalists, and consultants who based their choices on the impact they believe these new technologies will have on the industry.

NEW INPLANT PLACE DEBUTS ON THE GRAPH EXPO 2012 SHOW FLOOR

In-plant professionals from education, corporate, and government printing operations will now have a dedicated multi-function "oasis" of their own on the show floor at GRAPH EXPO 2012, coming October 7-10, to Chicago's McCormick Place. Sponsored by the In-Plant Printing & Mailing Association (IPMA), the new networking hub will be located in booth #3461 and will offer attendees a wide selection of in-plant-specific education, networking, and relaxation opportunities.
